Whether utilizing our standard non-branded packaging supplies or supplies you provide, we package your product to your specifications. With rail siding at all of our warehouse facilities, we can directly transfer from railcar to gaylord boxes (aka: bulk boxes, gaylords, or octabins) and super sacks (aka: big bags or FIBC) and put away to inventory or stage for immediate shipment.
We commonly transfer from covered hopper cars with pneumatic transfer outlets typical in plastics distribution, but have transferred other products from box cars and flat cars as well and will always explore the options for transferring from any car type your product requires.
For plastics, pneumatic conveying equipment is used for the transfer of your material and care is always taken to keep them contaminant-free. Anything that contacts your material, including our transfer units, hoppers, bins, piping and any adapters are thoroughly cleaned before switching to another type of resin. Use of hard-pipe is kept to a minimum as our heavy-duty opaque flex piping allows for easier disconnecting, cleaning out, and visual inspection. We have dedicated equipment to handle colored resins as an additional step to avoid any possible contamination with natural and white resins. Depending on the expected volume, we can also dedicate equipment for use with only your material.
While packaging from bulk truck or railcar is typical with domestic plastics distribution, you may have a need for transloading by de-packaging. This is especially common with bulk imported materials available in super sacks and 25kg bags but where the end-user needs the material delivered in another form such as railcar or silo.
We can take your material from a form such as super sacks, gaylord boxes, or 25kg bags and transfer it to railcar, bulk truck, sea-bulk lined containers, or bare containers. As with our packaging processes, care is always taken to keep your materials contaminant-free and dedicated equipment can be provided if needed.
By combining our de-packaging and packaging processes, we can re-package your materials as well.
